Cookie policy
The cookies this site uses, which ones need your permission, and how to change your mind.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are needed to make the site work at all — you can't turn those off, but they only do what's necessary. Everything else analytics and advertising cookies are optional. Google's tag also loads before you choose and may send limited cookieless measurement requests without advertising storage consent.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we ask for your consent before setting non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. For UK, EEA, Switzerland and Quebec visitors, Google's default consent signals deny analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation. The banner applies your saved choice when the page loads. Rejecting has no effect on booking, sign-in or payment.
Strictly necessary
Always on. These keep you signed in, remember your display preference, remember your cookie choice, and let payments go through securely.
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in to your customer or staff portal between pages. | Session, or up to 30 days if you stay signed in | ARK Home |
| Theme preference | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. | Until you clear it | ARK Home |
| Cookie choice | Remembers your analytics and advertising cookie choices. | Until you clear or change it | ARK Home |
| Stripe payment cookies | Used by our payment processor to take card payments securely and detect fraudulent use. | Session to 12 months | Stripe |
Analytics
Optional. Accepting Analytics lets Google Analytics set cookies so we can see how visitors use the site — pages viewed, forms started and sent, postcode coverage checks and taps on phone links. We record the service and page involved, never your name, email, phone number or postcode, and we don't measure staff or private customer pages. Without consent Google may receive limited cookieless pings under Consent Mode.
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Counts visits and shows which pages, forms and phone links are used, so we can improve the site. We don't send your name, contact details or postcode. | Up to 24 months |
Advertising and remarketing
Accepting enables Google advertising storage, advertising user data and personalised ads. We measure submitted enquiries and bookings, and clicks on phone and WhatsApp links; a click does not confirm that a call or conversation took place. Advertising cookies can also support follow-up ads. Google may process this information outside the UK, as described in our privacy policy.
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads conversion and remarketing | Measures whether an ad led to a survey booking, and lets us show later ads to people who have visited the site. | Up to 24 months |
We use Google's advanced Consent Mode: its tag loads even before you accept or after you reject. Limited cookieless requests may still be sent to Google for measurement and conversion modelling. These can include technical request information and should not be treated as wholly anonymous. Rejecting or withdrawing consent denies advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation; it does not stop all Google requests or delete information already received. No Meta advertising pixel is installed.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop sign-in and payment working.
